Weston Peick is expected to have surgery but has not suffered a brain trauma, according to reports coming out of the U.S. media.

Peick was injured Saturday night at Paris Supercross following a crash in the opening stages of the Final. Peick was initially attended to trackside and then taken to the hospital.

The JGR Yoshimura Suzuki rider hit the deck hard in the final race of the evening in Paris and was then landed on by a French rider.

TransWorld Motocross reports Peick is stable and has not suffered any brain injuries but he has suffered numerous facial injuries.

Peick is still sedated to help reduce swelling says TWMX. He will stay in the hospital for around a week and will need facial surgery.
