Weston Peick’s fiancée Kelly Cleland says the kind words and gestures from the motocross community are getting her through a painful journey. Today Kelly took to Instagram to thank fans and offer an update on Weston following his horrific crash in Paris.

While Kelly and other loved ones that are with Weston in Paris are ensuring that his privacy is respected, Kelly said she could announce that Weston’s swelling has receded to the point where his face is recognisable and that she is very grateful to “see him” again.

Kelly says the community have been reaching out with offers of support, including help with translating, rides, funding and more.

At the time of writing the Road 2 Recovery fundraising page has pushed past the $25,000 mark with a target of $100,000.

Kelly Cleland wrote: “You’ve carried me [Weston], now I’ll carry you. This journey is so painful and overwhelming in more ways than I could ever have imagined. Once again, thank you to all who have genuinely reached out and offered prayers and words of encouragement.

“Thank you to those who have offered to help with translating, rides, funding, and so much more. Every kind word or gesture helps me get through another minute, another day.

“It is extremely difficult to share any information because I want to respect the privacy of Weston. I do, though, want to announce that today Weston’s swelling is down enough that his face is recognizable and my heart is so very, very thankful to “see him” again.
