Yamaha pulls plug on autograph sessions in USA

Yamaha Motor Corporation, USA has announced today that it will be cancelling all Monster Energy Yamaha Factory Racing Team and Monster Energy Star Racing Yamaha Team autograph sessions due to concerns over the coronavirus outbreak.

The manufacturer has apologised for the move but it stresses the safety and wellness of their athletes, crew members and fans are of the utmost importance.

Autograph sessions at both dealership signings and on-site at Supercross events are both cancelled until further notice.

Yamaha will monitor the situation and provide further updates when available.

The firm follows on from American Honda’s own announcement made earlier.

The Seattle Supercross round, which was scheduled for March 28 was yesterday cancelled after days of speculation. The city has seen one of the largest outbreaks of coronavirus in the USA and the state governor moved yesterday to prohibit all gatherings over 250 people.
