During a Heat race at Arlington Supercross Justin Barcia found himself getting landed on (if you missed the Barcia Arlington crash you can watch it here). The crash resulted in a broken bone in his hand/wrist.

Understandably, Barcia is devastated after working so hard to put himself in second place in the Monster Energy AMA Supercross Championship.

He has now put out two updates on his condition: “Devastated, made a huge mistake and got my hand landed on, broke a bone, surgery Monday will be back ASAP, thank you to my fans Yamaha Motor USA and all my sponsors I will be back in no time.”

Bam Bam then followed that up later with a more optimistic statement: “Small set back, will have surgery tomorrow and be back at it in no time. Luckily itā€™s just my hand and I can still keep my fitness up off the bike!

“Thanks to all my fans and great sponsors!!!”

It’s great news that he feels more upbeat now and although this championship is gone, the run of results he’s had will surely give him confidence going into the Outdoors.
