American Honda has announced that Honda-supported supercross teams will no longer take part in dealer appearances or AMA Supercross autograph signings.
The firm is concerned about the “growing threat” of coronavirus and has therefore cancelled, until further notice, autograph signings and dealer appearances for Team Honda HRC, GEICO Honda, MotoConcepts Honda and Penrite Honda.
Honda says it recognises the importance and value of their customers and dealers and they regret having to make such a difficult decision.
In the press release, Honda also said: ā€œTaking prudent measures to protect the health of all involved stakeholders is paramount. In the future, weā€™ll explore opportunities for alternative measures that we can take to repay our fans and customers for their support. In the meantime, thank you for your patience.ā€
Ken Roczen was the first Supercross athlete to publicly announce he would no longer take part in dealer appearances or Supercross autograph signings.
