Wakker popped into Matterley Basin yesterday to see how the track was looking. Here’s what he had to say…

“The track looks amazing! The crew have been working hard and the entire site is almost ready to host the biggest event of our dirt scrambling year. The paddock area has been lifted and leveled with up to nine and a half metres of material being used.

“The start straight and double deck pit lane areas have also been raised four and a half metres to find a level, making the first corner an awesome dropping away left hand 180 degree turn.

“Massive deliveries of sand are heaped around the track, ready to be mixed into the soil so we get to see the suspension working on the trickiest dirt bikes on earth as the track cuts up a treat. A fantastic amount of hard work is going into the event so let’s get there and get the British GP back to its glorious and noisy best!”
