Steven Clarke is making a welcome return to the Apico Factory Racing family and the British Motocross Championship.

Other than a wildcard entry at the Blaxhall Circuit in May, Clarke has largely been absent from British motocross for around two years while he experienced some race time in the US.

Now, thanks to support from Apico Factory Racing and Winchester Off-Road Honda, Clarkey will race both the EMX250 and the British championship.

With some solid performances in the Motocross European Championship in 2018, including an emotional overall win at the British Grand Prix, Clarke will be challenging for an overall podium when the EMX series concludes at Assen in September.

“As a long-time Apico Factory Racing supported rider, when Steven approached us, we were happy to support his racing for the remainder of 2018,” explained Apico head honcho Dylan Brown. “Steven will run out of our Apico Factory Racing Honda branded awning at the Maxxis and continue his plan in the EMX250 class at the GPs with our backing.”

“Iā€™m happy to have the support from all my old friends at Apico,” said Clarkey. “Weā€™ve both had some fantastic times racing in the Maxxis [British championship] and MX Nationals in recent years. Iā€™m looking forward to going out there and giving it my all for the rest of the season both home and away.

“The support from Apico and their distributed brands will allow me to get the job done and hopefully a few race wins and podiums along the way.”

Clarkeyā€™s first race in Apico colours will be at Lommel on August 5 in the EMX250 championship.
