Stefan Everts says he’s “getting better every day” as he reached out to say thank you for all the support he has received while in hospital.

Everts is continuing to recover well from his Malaria infection sustained from his time in the Republic of Congo. In fact, his battle with the life-threatening disease is going so well he’s been able to announce a new motocross business deal.

“First of all I want to thank everyone for their well wishes and I’m truly touched by all the supportive messages that I have gotten from fans, family and friends across the globe,” he said.

Although the recovery is going well he is still not fully fit. “Iā€™m getting better every day, but my feet and hands still need a lot of work to get back to 100 per cent,” the 10-time World champion added. “My mind is positive and that is something I feel is really important.”
