Two weeks after a serious leg break Valentin Guillod has finally returned home from the hospital, he revealed today.

From his post on social media, it sounds like he’s relieved to be home after his long stay in the hospital and won’t be pushing his recovery too hard, or at least for some time. “Finally home after 14 days at the hospital and 10 days after the surgery,” he wrote. “Letā€™s work easy on that leg, doing my best to be back in shape and time will decide how long it will take.”

He isn’t the only Standing Construct KTM rider recovering from injury with his team-mate Kevin Strijbos also out after breaking his collarbone during practice.

Both riders had been expected to be racing in England at Hawkstone Park for the International but will now miss the February 11 event.
