The FIM and Infront Moto Racing has released another new version of the MXGP 2020 schedule with three more confirmed race calendar changes.
Due to the global outbreak of the coronavirus, public safety of all involved has been put at the forefront which means certain events have been forced to be pushed back to a later date.
As we reported last week, the MXGP of France which was originally scheduled to take place on May 10 has been postponed.
The FIM has now made room for the Saint Jean d’Angely GP at the end of June (28th), which has a knock-on effect with the two Indonesia GPs.
This change means that the MXGP of Indonesia in Jakarta will now move from June 28 to November 1. The second stop of the Indonesian trip will be held as the MXGP of Asia on November 8 – the location will be announced shortly, says Infront Moto Racing.
These new updates of the 2020 FIM Motocross World Championship Calendar were possible thanks to the complete cooperation with the local organisers, Motoclub Angerien, PT Supersport Sensasion International (SSS) and Lightning Production and PT ARENA SIRKUIT INDONESIA, the national federations and the governments, along with the FIM and FIM Europe.
The MXGPs for Trentino, Argentina, Spain and Portugal have also had their dates changed – you can see the updated 2020 MXGP calendar below.
