Marvin Musquin has quickly responded to the news that he was omitted from the 2018 MXoN Team France selection, putting the record straight he said he wanted to race.

Earlier today the FFM announced the roster for the Motocross des Nations at RedBud, USA, which left out Musquin, who currently sits in second place in the Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship.

Instead, MXoN Team France went with Gautier Paulin (MX1), Romain Febvre (Open) and Dylan Ferrandis (MX2).

Posting a video to Facebook Musquin said: “No, I didn’t refuse to race for Team France, yes they didn’t pick me even tho [sic] I was ready, motivated… and the calendar was not an issue, it was in our plan for months already!”

Non, non, je n’ai pas refusé de participer aux Nations, oui je n’ai pas été sélectionné. J’étais prêt, motivé, et le calendrier n’était pas un problème du tout ! No, I didn’t refuse to race for Team France, yes they didn’t pick me even tho I was ready, motivated… and the calendar was not an issue, it was in our plan for months already !
