This weekend’s opening round of the St Blazey Premier MX has received an unexpected blow with the landowner stepping in to stop the event at Whiteway Barton.

RHLā€™s crew had been busy laying out all the infrastructure ready for the anticipated event when at 11am their onsite team were informed the event would not be allowed to go ahead.

Despite being given the all-clear from the Track Manager just yesterday, the landowner inspected the Paddock this morning and declared it useable for the weekend.

The good news is that RHL Activities have worked quickly to secure a new date at the venue so the Whiteway Barton event will now go ahead on March 18 and will now be Round Two. This keeps the series as an eight-round championship.

Riders will not have to reapply as first-round entries will automatically be put forward to the March 18 event. Any rider who is unable to participate in the revised first round date should email rider@rhlactivities.com and a full refund will be given.

RHL tell us that they are “absolutely gutted” at the decision and stress that it is beyond their control.

“Unfortunately this is out of our control, myself and the team are frustrated at the decision,” said Director of RHL Activities, Gareth Hockey. “The team have been working non-stop since being notified to secure a new date at the venue and we are pleased to be able to confirm Round Two will now be at Whiteway Barton on March 18.”
