At Whitby last weekend posting a top qualification time – and then reeling off four comprehensive heat wins which included three fastest laps, 14 year old Jay Hague cemented his place at the top of the Wulfsport British Masters B/W 85cc division.

With three rounds completed it’s now ten wins from twelve starts in the AMCA Masters series. In the much tougher Red Bull Elite Youth Cup championship with two rounds down the Hague record reads eight heat wins from nine starts. And with three more heat wins carded at the opening round of the ACU British Youth Nationals – Jay currently holds the lead in all three championships.

Quite a remarkable record, and quite an amazing start to the year for the youngster from Easington County Duhram – all the more merit worthy when considering Jay had to take three months out last year with a serious kidney injury. The road back to full fitness was tough at times – but all the effort, hard work and dedication is now paying off. Next up for Jay is round two of the British Youth Nationals at Culham June 8/9.
