The Maxxis Brit MX series heads to a super-dry Foxhill this week for round six…

While most of the country has endured wet weather the Foxhill circuit near Swindon has escaped most of the rain and is very dry. The ACU Events team arrived to be greeted by a highly prepared circuit with some minor work still taking place. With very little rain forecast the sprinkler system was turned on and the circuit took the water well. With their vast knowledge of the circuit, Paul O’gorman and Sandy controlled the valves to give the dry track just the right amount to get the ground wet ahead of further planned watering on Friday afternoon.

Brad Anderson heads to Foxhill with a 32 point lead over Kristian Whatley in the MX1 division. Both riders should be at the head of the pack along with Martin Barr and local lads Stephen Sword and Tom Church. TC makes his KTM UK debut at the Foxhill round as he replaces the injured Graeme Irwin.

After struggling with crashes and a DNF in the deep sands of Desertmartin Zach Osborne heads to Foxhill 31 points behind his team-mate and current MX2 pace setter Arnaud Tonus. The Swiss rider has never been to Foxhill before and it will be interesting to see how he copes with the steep hills and slippery chalk going. The two Yamahaulers should be challenged by Jake Nicholls who’s gaining momentum since missing the start of the season through injury. Other riders in the hunt for podium positions will be Elliott Banks-Browne and Mel Pocock.

The Foxhill circuit is easily reached from the M4 and M5 motorways via the A417 dual carriageway. Timed Qualifying starts at 9am on Sunday ahead of the first of eight championship races at 12.15pm.
