Bomb disposal experts were called to the Lyng motocross track on Saturday when a WWII mortar was uncovered by a digger during track preparation for this coming weekend’s British championship round on April 17. Luckily, the mortar turned out to be a cement-filled training aid and is thought to have been used by the Home Guard when they commandeered the land for training during the war.
