After years of waiting, we could see the first two-stroke fuel injection KTM dirt bikes in competition. Perhaps as soon as this weekend.

According to Enduro21, KTM may trial two-stroke fuel injection enduro machines at one of the most treacherous and demanding hard enduro racing routes in the world, the Roof of Africa, which takes place this week.

Pressure is mounting on manufacturers to hit Euro 4 and Euro 5 regs by the 2020 deadline and this could be KTM’s first step in trying to meet the tough targets.
