Beta Factory Racing’s Steve Holcombe has been forced to withdraw from the 2019 FIM International Six Days Enduro being held in Portimao, Portugal, on November 11-16.

Set to return to the event for the first time since 2013, Steve collided with a tree while testing in Italy a little over a week ago, injuring his right shoulder.

Following the advice of a number of specialists and having discussed his situation with Great Britain ISDE Team Manager Daryl Bolter, Steve has regretfully withdrawn himself from Great Britain’s World Trophy Team and has already begun rehabilitation on his injured shoulder.

Steve wishes everyone representing Great Britain at this year’s ISDE all the very best.

Steve Holcombe: “I’m gutted that I’m not going to be competing for Great Britain at this year’s ISDE, but it’s the only decision that’s fair on the team and myself. Carrying a shoulder injury into a six-day event makes no sense at all. Returning to the Six Days after so many years was something that I was really looking forward to, I guess I’ll just have to wait one more year and race the 2020 ISDE in Italy. I wish the team and everyone who’s supporting the team all the very best.”
