The Fast Eddy Club Championships continued last Sunday with round 6 at Greeenhall Farm near to Llanfyllin.

The track provided a long lap with rolling, grassy hills and flat-out straights in the main field alongside some tricky ruts and wood sections put in by the experienced Fast Eddy team, which, with the clear weather, made for an excellent day of racing.

The day began with the Youth race at 10am prompt where three classes lined up ready to take on the 1 hour and 20-minute race.

After the rain of the preceding days, and the practice day which created some slippery surfaces, the kids faced some difficulty on the off-camber hills from the very start of the racing, meaning that everyone in the Fast Eddy team came out to support and help everyone competing.

Despite this, the kids showed impressive perseverance and rode very well, especially the autos.

There was some very competitive racing in the BW 85-150cc class, but Jack Sandland maintained the lead throughout to finish first. However, he was under pressure from second place Morgan Williams the whole time, as well as Isobelle Skillin who placed third.

In the SW85cc class it was Alfie Davies who came out on top after leading for most of the race, followed by Freestyle Husqvarnaā€™s Endaf Hughes. A few offs for Antonio Taylor meant that he dropped to third.

The Autos once again had a loop which made the difficult course that bit easier for them. It was Harry Jordan who came first followed by Liam Lewis.

In the afternoon the Experts saw a lineup of 10 talented riders, which from the outset made for an exciting race. Jack Edmondson dominated, unbothered by the pressures of the other Expert riders to win overall on 15 laps, a remarkable feat.

As the race progressed Ricky Wiggins was catching him up and managed to achieve second.

Third place went to Henry Yardley who had an excellent ride, followed by Cole Cookland Harry Edmondson was challenging his older brother at first, but some problems concerning his pipe meant that he lost some time but finished fifth.

The Clubman 2T class was much the same as the first round, fought over by Jacob and Adam James, with Jacob starting in front but Adam then leading most of the race. Geraint Jones did pose a threat to the brothers finishing not far behind Adam to place third.

Ben Key gave an impressive ride to achieve the win in the Clubman 4T class, though it was not given up easily by Archie Collier who was leading for a while. Ethan Pugh actually came home in second and Collier ended his race in third.

As for the Vets classes, there was some very determined riding in the Vets A, but Lincoln Brewster was able to break Chris Wagstaffā€™s winning streak, leaving him in second with Alex Owen in third.

Vets B saw Neil Hackett place first followed by Leigh Nicklin and Mark Lowndes. The Over 50 podium was topped by Andy Harvey, with Alan Vissian not far behind and Dave Cooper in third.

Cory Cookland took the win in the Youth B class from reigning champion Doug Lote but faced challenges from Sion Evans in third.

In the Sportsman class it was Ant Trawford who claimed success from previous round winner Roy Broomfield. They were followed home by Neil Strong. Tom Slater claimed success in the Novice class, with Adam Wagstaff in second and Joe Haigh in third.
